DEVELOPMENT OF INTERNATIONALIZATION
AND QUALITY PROGRAMS IN KINDERGARTENS
The development of high quality educational institutions and programs of early and preschool education has a very strong contribution to the succses of the EUROPA 2020 strategy. In order to realize the set goals it is crucial to encourage and develop cooperation between multiple european educational systems (preschool and onwards) that will enable the exchange of positive practical experience and different aproaches to education which will facilitate the transition of children from one system to another. It is also neccesary to support the professional development of teachers working in early and preschool education in order to develop their key competencies and skill levels and improve their working conditions, as well as to upgrade their social status and overall prestige of the profession.
With this project we would like to achieve several goals. The first one is a systematic and long term sustainable internationalization of our establishment and the programs that we offer. The second specific goal is to improve the learning and teaching the English language by teaching transverse skills like CLIL which would improve the language skills of both our teachers and the children attending our english classes. The third goal, a crucial area in the plan of development of our kindergarten, is the increase of the quality of develpomentally appropriate programs and the creation of high quality conditions for social and educational inclusion of children with diminished capacity.
In order to reach these goals, our expert coworkers will participate in four mobility projects for professional development. The mobility projects include attending specificaly structured courses, gaining insight into European educational practice by visiting kindergartens, schools and universities in diferent Eruopean countries, job shadowing activities, creating new international contacts with our European colleagues and realisation of various collaborative projects.
